Chase Briscoe Wins the Daytona 500 Pole with Austin Cindric Second

CHASE BRISCOE WINS THE DAYTONA 500 POLE WITH AUSTIN CINDRIC SECOND – DUEL RACE LINE-UPS: Toyota has finally won their first ever Daytona 500 pole!

Chase Briscoe, with his new team at Joe Gibbs Racing, is blistering fast right out of the gate and will start this years “Great American Race” from the P1 spot after claiming the pole!

For Briscoe, this is his third career pole in the Cup Series.

Austin Cindric will start alongside the No. 19 Toyota qualifying his Team Penske No. 2 Ford second.

Along with Briscoe and Cindric, Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson are locked into Sunday’s big show as their two Toyotas were the quickest among the go or go home entries.

With the “World Class Driver Provisional,” 4-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves is also guaranteed a spot.

The remainder of the field will be determined by Thursday nights Duel races.
