Denny Hamlin gets back to victory lane at his home track: After a ten year hiatus, Denny Hamlin is back in the winner’s circle at Martinsville Speedway! The Virginia native dominated the “Cook Out 400” for his first victory at the paper clip since 2015.

This is the sixth overall win for Hamlin at Martinsville and the 55th of his Cup Series career. That ties Rusty Wallace in ninth place on the all-time wins list in the Cup Series.

Hamlins Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell finished second with Bubba Wallace, a car that Hamlin owns, crossing the line third.

Erik Jones and the No. 43 Legacy Motor Club team were disqualified for failing to meet the minimum weight requirement. Jones, who originally finished 24th, will now be credited with a last-place result.
